Republican Caucus Meetings March 15, 2012

The Republicans of Voting District WJD030 in West Jordan, Utah met at West Jordan Middle School at 7:00 PM. Originally we met in the School Cafeteria. We had an opening prayer and said the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag with Voting District WJD031. Then we divided into two groups and Van Walthers, voting district chairman, read the Salt Lake County and state of Utah Republican party platform. An envelope was passed around for contributions to the Republican Party. It was very noisy with the two groups in the same room and when Merlene Cook came in and gave us the opportunity to move to the choir room of the school, we took advantage of the opportunity.


The main business of the caucus meeting was to elect officers and county and state delegates for the next two years. The following people were elected:

State Delegate:  Jim Gastelum


County Delegate: Van Walther
County Delegate: Preston Brooksby
