Bilingual Poll Workers Needed

Recently I received an email which stated in part:

"Salt Lake County is now required to comply with Section 203 of the Voting Rights Act due to the US census results. Therefore, in accordance with this federal law, the US Department of Justice requires that all election materials must be printed in both English and Spanish. This law also requires that bilingual poll workers be available to assist voters at certain polling locations.
In order to meet this requirement, we are looking for poll workers who are willing to serve in a bilingual capacity. If you are fluent in Spanish and are willing to assist, please reply to this email for more detailed information. If you know of someone who is fluent in Spanish and might be interested in serving as a bilingual poll worker, please have them call our office at (385)-468-7400 or email us at: electionsupport@slco.org.
